Entrained Gas Management in Coriolis Flowmeters
(Available languages: English, Deutsch, Français)
Depending on the specific application in which entrained gas is present, it may either be required or unwanted. This course gives an introduction on how to master liquid applications with entrained gas. It describes how stable and repeatable Coriolis mass flow measurement can be obtained even in the event of gas entrainment of up to 100% by volume in the fluids.
Module 1 (duration approx. 26 min)
- Entrained gas in process applications
- The Coriolis principle and the impact of entrained gas
- Entrained Gas Management technology (EGM™)
- Practical benefits of EGM™ in industrial applications
Video on Entrained Gas Management technology
Based on a function model, gas entrainment and the subsequent effects are demonstrated in this video to underline the benefits of the EGM™ technology.
First, a relatively manageable amount of gas bubbles is added in the process, and afterwards massively. It is shown that thanks to the EGM™ technology the measurement continues continuously and reproducibly despite of gas entrainment in the medium: The meter does not fall out, nor freezes the last measured value.
